a great annual event occurred in which all war stopped and people
actually have fun. Name the location of the great statue of Zeus

Gardens. There are no Babylonian records to describe the

surviving monument in the list of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is
the Great Pyramid of Egypt.
Usually people think all the pyramids were part of the title "One of
the Seven Wonders," but actually only one of the pyramids is the
wonder. Name which pyramid is the one listed, and the pharoah it
was named after. The first letter of the pyramid's name will be
clue 3.

| 4. The Colossus of Rhodes was a
huge sculpture located over the entrance to the Rhodes bay.
Strangely it only stood some 56 years after its construction.
Tell what event caused it to tumble and be destroyed. The first

| 5. Alexandria's lighthouse is
known to be the only one of the "Seven Wonders" that was built for a
practical reason: to help prevent shipwrecks. Sadly the old
lighthouse stood through several earthquakes, but in 1340, it was
decided it could be used for another purpose. What did the
lighthouse stones get turned into? The first letter of your
answer will give you the 5th clue.

| 6. The Temple of Artemis was
huge, and very popular in its time for tourism, pagan religious
ceremonies and even a marketplace. A man would try to
become famous by burning the great temple. He succeeded, but on
the same night as the burning of the temple, a great general/future
king was born. It was said by pagan believers that "the goddess
was too busy taking care of the birth of Alexander to send help to her
threatened temple." The temple now only appears in stones and
ruins. Name the man who burned one of the "Seven Wonders of the
Ancient World." The first letter of his name will give you
