SOMETHING IMPORTANT ABOUT OUR PRESIDENTS
An Activity to learn about the great and less-great Presidents
The Goal of this project is to create a poster with a special portrait of each president.
The procedure for doing this includes these steps:
1. Compile and print a general one-page biography that tells the life story (birth date, where he came from, family info, family pets in the White House, education, marriage (if he got married) and children, political party, political activity before becoming president, what happened when he was president (things he did or events that happened), and of course his death.
2. Make a poster section to list major historical events in America that occurred during his term(s) as president.
3. Find and get quotations of great speeches and print out in old-fashioned font. We only want main quotes (not the whole speech).
4. Find any unique facts about the president and make a poster section about these facts. These could be sad, funny or serious.
5. Make a section on your poster describing (maybe with images) what is "most" important about the president.
