| This on-line learning activity has been planned to instill
into students who use it, a special understanding of the leadership quality
of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, who had the job of holding the Union
together during its four-year Civil War. This activity will center
on Abraham Lincoln, the Problem-Solver.
When running for the Presidency in 1860, Lincoln knew well that his anti-slavery stand would cause problems, in that Southern States were already thinking of secession. By the time he would take office, some Southern States had already seceded. Since this web activity is centered on Abraham Lincoln's Leadership
and Decision-making, please read our short page on Decisions based upon President Lincoln's Problems
were: Using Internet links, your job will be to research how
Abraham Lincoln solved the problems listed above. You will complete
tables, and write short reponses to questions and problems.
