National Road Covered Bridge

The Embarras River (pronounced umbraw) near Greenup was the site of a covered bridge possibly built by Abe and Thomas Lincoln and Dennis Hanks. The original bridge was 200 feet long.  Reconstruction of the bridge began in 1998 and was dedicated in September, 2000.  Visible off the North side of I-70, accessible from Greenup.  Rt. 40 or I-70 east.
