Numbers of casualties at the Gettysburg Battle
                
Union Army: 23, 049 dead                      

Confederate Army:  28.063-- Mostly Texans and Georgians in their teens


Two Flags represented at Gettysburg:  Americans fighting Americans with the highest number of casuallties than all other wars combined. 
At Gettysburg,  a cemetary was needed, and the President was invited to help "dedicate" it.
