Frances "Fanny" Jane Todd Wallace

      Hello, I am Mary and Elizabeth’s sister, Fanny.  That’s what everyone calls me, and I would like to tell you about myself.  I am from Lexington, Kentucky, and have other sisters including the ones you know, Mary and Elizabeth.  Elizabeth moved to Springfield some time back, and Mary and I moved up there later.  We enjoy living in Springfield.  You know it is the capitol of Illinois now, and has a lot of activity. 

      Mary enjoys politics and talking with the men when they come around the house.  I prefer staying in another room and talking to their wives.  That is just the difference between Mary and myself.

      Mary and Abraham got married a while back, and I was one of the witnesses for them.  It was such an honor.

      I really enjoy helping Mary with the boys when they come over to the Edwards house to visit.
