2. A tropical rainforest is highly
organized into layers. List and describe the three main layers,
and then make a table or illustration describing the VEGETATION (FLORA)
and ANIMAL (FAUNA) for each layer. After making the table or
illustration, answer this question:
3. How does the environment effect
each layer and the flora and fauna of it? Which layer would you
rather live in, if you had a choice? What kind of house or
structure would be needed if you lived in each of the
layers? How comfortable would it be living in each
layer? What animals would you have to defend yourself from in
each layer?
4. Pick a rainforest predator, and
describe it's daily life-routine.
5. Choose an animal in the
rainforest that uses camouflage
(disguise) to do its daily chores such as finding food and/or hiding.
6. People live in the rainforest. Describe there living
conditions.
FINAL PROJECT FOR THIS ACTIVITY:
Joining with a partner, create a "beautiful and colorful" mural-sized Tropical Rainforest picture. Use narrative "bubbles, or boxes" to note the things you are depicting in your mural. This mural will be photographed and placed on my website--or your website.
