Animals A to Z Learning Activity

A Learning On-Line Activity by Howard Taylor
A Study of an Animal IN-DEPTH

Student Directions:
1.   Go to the hotlist and visit a Resource Link on animals.  Look over the animals in the lists, and make a final choice of an animal you would like to get to know "In Depth."  Make a decision on a particular animal you would like to study.

2.    Get a paper copy of the Animal Fact Cards, and then start filling them out.  The Resource Links will provide the answers to questions and the factual details needed.

3.    Make a picture on 12" by 18" drawing paper of your animal in its natural habitat.  You may have to include other animals and birds.  You should also include plants, trees, and geographical features in your animal's habitat.  LIVING COLOR  is the way to go.  Markers, crayons or colored pencils will be great to do this art project.

4.    Make a presentation (on paper) to tell about your animal in story (paragraph) form.

5.    Have fun, and get to know your chosen animal "In Depth."
